Welcome to Native Cuisine, where we honor and share the rich culinary heritage of indigenous peoples through authentic cooking experiences. Our mission is to preserve traditional recipes, techniques, and the cultural stories behind each dish while creating meaningful connections between food and heritage.
Founded by Chef Maria Littlefeather, a member of the Cherokee Nation with over 20 years of culinary experience, Native Cuisine offers immersive cooking classes that go beyond recipes. We teach the history, significance, and sustainable practices that have nourished indigenous communities for generations.
Whether you're looking to expand your culinary skills, connect with indigenous culture, or plan a memorable event, our hands-on classes and catering services provide authentic experiences that respect and celebrate native food traditions. From traditional corn-based dishes and wild game preparation to indigenous plant knowledge and seasonal cooking methods, we offer a comprehensive journey into native cuisine.
Join us in honoring these time-tested culinary traditions while learning practical skills you can use in your own kitchen. Every class includes take-home recipes, cultural context, and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom of indigenous food systems.
